First, you've got Big Brother who's got you on his time, keeps pulling those strings closer to his dime. But who's really in control of what we call life? "Oh, brave new world"
2.
Can you see that hole in the sky outlined in a shadow of white? Night turns to day as day turns to night. There's no escape, not even for light. Now here's a fucking tip: if you get caught, you'd better run for your life. Life's just one big, dark void where dust turns to dust turns to dust turns to dust, so put on your boots and start climbing out of the black hole.
3.
If I promise to say all the right words, promise me you won't go away. I can't stand to see that look on my face, only caused by what's inside my head, and I know you're thinking a different way. That is why I'll address this letter to no one, and if you receive it anyway, just know this: I'm simply losing it. Losing grip, trying not to slip, waiting for a fall that's not so graceful. This is what it feels like to lose your mind. This is what it's like when you can't find your mind.
4.
It's a Trap! 02:10
Consider this a letter I'll never send in hopes you'll read it before you're gone. Why must I hear the sound of you walking away before you're gone? I wanted to let you know all the things about you that I'm grateful for, and if you go, promise you won't stay long. Searching for nothing when nothing is wrong, because I know what I've got before it's gone. There's only one catch: it's a trap! [I will never be who you wanted me to be and I'm not sorry. Maybe you'll learn to live with that, and there's not much else to say, except: if you'll hear me out and we can find common ground, I'll share everything I have with you. But if you keep telling yourself I'm not to be held on the same standard as you, I will destroy you.]
5.
I know why you must lie, and I know I will grow. If I never had to see you again it would be too soon. You convince yourself you're a true friend till your face turns blue. Never will I fall into your trap again. Now I'm gone. Said, "so long." Down that road I must go. I can no longer tolerate your ignorance or what I call your selfishness.
6.
Sitting, waiting while life passes by. I think and wonder why we look to the sky? All in the name - all for the "big score," and with you, here and now, life's one worth living for. If I walk the line, will you come with me on this quest of uncertainty? We put our hands before our eyes to block the light. When will we reach the end of this timeline? There are only two of us to brave tonight. What will it be? Can you show me my destiny? Use your words. The thought of losing you leaves a taste in my mouth that turns sour.
7.
Leaving the warzone that you call your home, it becomes clear now why you're all alone. Your life is a mess; that I can attest, so might I suggest you give it a rest? He cut you loose when he saw your real face. And about your friends: none of them in the end. Don't try to pretend inside you're not dead. Now back to your hole that you dug years ago. Again, all alone, you're the one he doesn't know. Cut! Cut! Cut! Cut! Cut! Cut! Cut! Cut! He cut you loose and fed you to cowboys and bears.
8.
Hollow inside and out, nothing to brag about. Open your eyes; it's your wake-up call. Meet your maker once and for all. You take but you never give...that's no fucking way to live. It's alright; you'll get yours soon, before the dawn of a new moon. Clouds gather and lightning strikes, never quick to strike the same spot twice. Pretty soon the rain will fall. Poseidon brings it down on all, throws his trident and pierces your heart (never had one from the start). I see what's in front of me: the face of my Trojan enemy. Swept away with the flood. Weeds in Gethsemane grow through the mud. You're as useful as a garden of weeds, sparks the fire inside of me. Keep your distance, marked in feet, or burn you down with kerosene. If you expect to get through the storm, pay respect to the new day born or get what you give tenfold (twenty counting the days of old). That's a promise, you've been warned, or you'll never make it through the storm. Get on your knees; pray to the gods...maybe someday you'll be one of us. Look inside for your missing heart - it's what keeps you and the world apart.
9.
It's a new chapter and we get together. Day one turns to day two and now it's a new era. Out on the road, nowhere to go. But with you by my side, the weather warms at night. I know I'm only repeating myself, pouring pennies to the bottom of this well, hoping this night will see no end: all in the interest of going down.
10.
Driving eight hours straight down a dead-end street. Check on the RPM where the two lines meet (they don't move). We're driving in circles around the same old track. There's no moving forward. There's no turning back. Foot to the floor, but for what? Day in, day out, but for what? Keep on driving, but for what? You'll make it, kid, but for what? Set your own course and follow it. Sift through all the bullshit. Don't worry; it's just a ride. I'm not alone in this fight, no.
11.
For the past five years now, there's been a void in time - evidence overlooked at the scene of the crime. Robbed of our freedoms, of non-conformity...marketing our freedoms, selling our freedoms. Only now do I hold the key. Photos and evidence: it's what's inside of me. In the details we write all the ups and the downs, and everything in between. These times, they'll never be the same again.
